A little about SNR Audio
SNR Audio was established in 2020 with the aim of publishing the highest-quality audiobooks worldwide. Since then we have published over 500 titles, been shortlisted for two Audies, twice hit the #1 spot on Audible, and built long-lasting relationships with the best narrators and studios in the business. We now publish across a wide range of genres - from classic fiction to modern greats, history, economics, memoir, and much more - at all major audiobook retailers.
We Are Audiobook Specialists
We specialise in modern productions of great stories and high quality author collections, working exclusively with the finest, award-winning narrators in the UK and US. We were nominated for two categories at the 2024 Audies (Best Fiction Narrator for Stephen Fry's reading of Great Expectations and UK-Produced Audiobook for The Complete Fyodor Dostoyevsky Collection), won an AudioFile Earphones Award for Great Expectations, and have had our audiobooks featured on the BBC and in the Guardian.
Our extensive list of published authors is ever-growing and includes numerous Pulitzer, National Book Award, and Nobel Prize for Literature winners. Our narrators range from audiobook royalty such as Jonathan Keeble, Emma Gregory, Peter Noble, David Rintoul, Malk Williams, Lucy Scott, Kobna-Holdbrook Smith, and a host of others, to the likes of Stephen Fry, Miriam Margolyes, Juliet Stevenson, Mason Alexander Park, Samuel West, and many more.
Proudly Human
We are a proudly human company. We do not experiment with synthetic voices or any kind of AI-generated narrations, and we happily put AI clauses into our contracts. AI may be beneficial in many ways in the future, but we do not think it has any place in audiobook narration right now. We quite like humans and think the actors we collaborate with are our most precious resource, so make a blanket commitment to use only human voices in our productions.

Meet Jack Chalmers
Jack Chalmers is the Director of SNR Audio. He has over 10 years’ experience in the audiobook industry, having previously worked in the Audio team at HarperCollins for 5 years. Whilst there he worked with authors such as David Attenborough; Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie; Elizabeth Day; Hilary Mantel; Nigel Slater; and many more, collecting British Book Award nominations and New York Radio Award wins for his productions.
SNR Audio is independently owned and operated by Jack, with the help of incredible studios, narrators, and production houses that bring the greatest stories of all time to life.
