SNR Audio was established in 2020 with the aim of publishing the highest-quality audiobooks worldwide. SNR's first publication was The Complete George Orwell Collection (which charted at #1 in all categories on Audible UK in May 2023). We now publish across a wide range of genres - from classic fiction to modern greats, history, economics, memoir, and much more - at over 25 retailers. We specialise in the highest quality author collections, working exclusively with the finest, award-winning narrators in the UK and US.

We are a proudly human company. We do not experiment with synthetic voices or any kind of AI-generated narrations, and we happily put AI clauses into our contracts. AI may be beneficial in many ways in the future, but we do not think it has any place in audiobook narration right now. We quite like humans, and think our actors are our most precious resource, so make a blanket commitment to only use human voices in our productions. 

Jack Chalmers is the Director of SNR Audio. He previously worked in the Audio team at HarperCollins Publishers for over 5 years, working with authors such as David Attenborough; Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie; Elizabeth Day; Hilary Mantel; Nigel Slater; and many more, collecting British Book Award nominations and New York Radio Award wins for his productions. SNR is independently owned and operated by Jack, with the help of incredible studios and production houses that bring the greatest stories of all time to life.
